Mums and pumpkins are selling fast! Come in and get your pick while they last. We have a large selection of mums right now - some are blooming and some are not, so you can get whatever you're looking for.

The bakery is trying a new item - Giant Cookies! These are the perfect choice for a person with a big appetite or to share with several people. They currently have Pumpkin Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and Sugar Cookies. They are in single packs so you only have to buy as many as you can eat or share.

Deli specials this week are Black Forest Ham and Havarti Cheese at $4.99 a lb.

Looking for a good way to pick up walnuts from your yard without breaking your back? We have a solution - Walnut Wizards. These have a round wire cage on a wooden handle that you roll across your yard and they pop right in! Then all you need to do is dump them into a bucket or bag. They work great - we have experience! We also have some smaller ones for hickory nuts or other small items.

Also an update on the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes - last week's email said that they need to be returned by October 21st, but that was a mistake. The actual date is November 21st. Sorry about that! Thankfully this gives us a little more time to reach our goal of 500 boxes! If you're looking for a way to give Christmas to a child that has probably never received a gift, why don't you think about packing a shoe box for them with toys and school supplies? These bring a lot of joy to children around the world, and are also a great way of teaching them and their families about Jesus' love! If you prefer to let us pack the box, you can make cash donations in-store.

Moses and Susan are enjoying their 25th anniversary trip to the northeastern states. They are currently in New Hampshire and plan to be in Bar Harbor, Maine by Saturday where Moses is running a half marathon.
